The aluminium foam has many excellent properties such as damping properties, acoustic absorption and heat dissipation , these merits are thought to combine in this paper, so aluminum foam compound board is thought to be made as acoustical enclosure to reduce the noise of the lathe. Theory analysis is studied about the Sound Transmission Loss of the aluminum foam compound board, by the application of Plural Stiffness Theory and Equivalent Parameter Method, the Sound Transmission Loss of the compound board mathematics models are established. Then the sound insulation influence coefficient of the aluminum foam compound board are got through numerical analysis. Secondly structure optimization is put up for the compound board. Finally on the basis of the above analysis, the Sound Transmission Loss of the acoustical enclosure prediction model is established and unique advantages about the aluminum foam acoustical enclosure are studied ,superiority after optimization is also showed.
