In civil engineering, Web of I-shaped beam is often higher and thin in size in order to develop the probability of material stiffness and strength. It is possible to the web of I-shaped beam to arise buckling when loads are applied to the beam. If there are some openings drilled in the web of beam because of some utilities, the proplem of local buckling of web would become more important, so it is necessary to study the buckling of web in beam.About the problems mentioned above, the paper would use the analytical methods of finite element to study the buckling of web with oval openings in the works of various loads and boundaries. During the course of the research, the buckling parameters of web with oval openings were got according to the buckling theories of web with no openings, in order to analyse the buckling behavior of web with oval openings conveniently, the size parameter of openings and shape parameters of openings were introduced. In the paper, all analysises of web with oval openings were performed with the method controlling openings. The paper developed the formulas of web with oval openings which are related to the parameters of openings. Finally, the analyses about the web constrained by flanges were taken in the paper, finding the relation between the constraint parameter and the parameters of openings, developing the mutual formulas of the two parameters. The conclusions made in the paper may offer references to designing and research of similar opening problems.
