Country's rapid economic development promots development of underground engineering and development and utilization of underground space. Excavation and supporting of the deep foundation pit and high slope has become one of the key technologies. Slope Support Engineering is a complex matrices which includes Geotechnical engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, municipal engineering and structural engineering. Subject to various factors the combined effects of the uncertainty makes difficult to grasp. NATM to its core ideology of soil nailing Design Theory geotechnical engineering has become the focus of attention issues. In the paper, the catastrophe theory of system science is adopted into the theory analysis of soil nailing wall. Studying the things from the traditional smooth, continuously change into non-continuously change. The common used fold catastrophe and point catastrophe of catastrophe theory is used in the research. The soil of the soil nailing wall and the cohesion between soil nail and the soil is researched. Slope establish a support structure for soil nailing object using mathematical model. Taking potential function as respond variable, the foundation pit deformation as main control variable. The critical displacement is solved when the foundation mutate. And finally, the safety of the excavating foundation pit is evaluated by critical displacement.
