Wheel loader is the most widely used construction machinery. The boom cylinders, on the loader's working attachment, which drive the lift-arm and bucket up and down, are taken the most load both at the loading and lifting work, are the most important components bearing pressure. The vibration of the working attachment is caused by road roughness and conveyed by the other vibrating system when loader driving. The working attachment and cargoes vibration not only cause the cargoes falling, but also increased the vibrating of the loader and the impact to the hydraulic circuit. The characteristics of boom cylinder, which supporting the lift-arm on loader driving, decide the vibration performance of the working attachment. This paper has analyzed the bearing characteristic of the boom cylinder, which will offer some theory gist to the design of the boom cylinder hydraulic circuit, and are also important to the loader smooth-going and advance of the productivity.This paper takes the type ZL80 loader as an example and establishes the mechanical and hydraulic model of working attachment and boom cylinder by ADAMS software, on the basis of analysis of its mechanics and hydraulic circuit. According to the model, the paper studied boom cylinder's velocity and pressure characteristics under loader's different working situation, and analyzed the influences to boom cylinder's bearing performance when the system parameters changed. Found the boom cylinder system model. The paper set up the boom cylinder model including mechanical and hydraulic part by ADAMS software. Considering boom cylinder is a part of the loader working attachment, the whole working attachment system model was established in ADAMS/View to simulate the boom cylinder work detailed. Force and road roughness are added to the model according to different work condition. The boom cylinder's hydraulic circuit is set up in ADAMS/hydraulics, and the parameters of hydraulic components are set by the pressure. Hydraulic and mechanical parts of the model are joined by boom cylinder.The model in different work condition is analyzed. Simulating the loading, lifting, driving and unloading process of the working attachment, the situation of boom cylinder suffers the largest force and velocity would be computed.The parameters affecting boom cylinder bearing characteristics were analyzed. In loader driving condition, the parameters which have great influence to cylinder supporting performance are cylinder's leakage, external load, cylinder's initial position and road roughness etc. The effect to the cylinder dynamic and vibration characteristics, caused by parameters change, was studied in this chapter.In conclusion, the paper analyzed loader boom cylinder's bearing characteristics, working and vibrating performance, which provide theory bases for loader working attachment vibrations study.
