Spine is the crutch of the trunk that can support the head and complete various kinds of motion. Its disease is about the architecture of bones and the surrounding soft tissue.The injury of Spinal cord is the most severe and complic one ,which happens in such conditions as mine, traffic accident ,wartime,and natural disaster. Not only it can threat to life but also can affiliate severe complication. Fracture of the spine is a very common one which occupies 5%——6% all over the body.This injury needs be diagnosed promptly and exactly. Now radiologia is the main diagnostic method,but the skel weight of the patients'shouder makes the bone fracture in borderline of neck and chest is not very clear.X rayhas no complaints, but it can do harm to human body.And the harm is insidious,having no appearance at that time. The dosage after X-ray exposure is accumulated.There is no method to take it down.With more amount,the attack rate of some disease with radiation will also be higher.This problem is very important for children. For SCWORA,it has no fracture dislocation when there is spinal cord injury. Abnormality can not be find using x-ray.This kind of injury is very common and also be ignored often.Now generally people think the recovery after the disease depends on the moment when it happens.So the expectant treatment in time can prevent the injury to aggravate.So we can see there are some shortcoming in orthodox methods.This diagnostic apparatus bases on the theory that shell temperature's difference is caused by partly condition.The little confine tissue can produce amount of heat which is more or fewer than tissues aroundit .Injury of spine can change shell temperature. Injury can cause inflammatory reaction between outst-nding discus intervertebralis and the nerve that be oppressed. Oppressionand inflammation can change nerve's function, hinder peripheral nerve impulse conduction normally,and alter metabolism's frequency.The effect of the injury in one side is often more than other side .We can compare the nerve's temperature of every side .So we can detect the injury.Intelligent Diagnostic Apparatus for Spine in this article, can measure heat on two sides of the spine real time and show the temperature on LCD. It can transmit the temperature to PC. Then PC can make the temperature curve to help the doctors to diagnose. Its energy expenditure is lower than others, depending on battery power and working for long time .The main part of this system is new type,low power MCU MSP430 manufactured by TI company. This MCU is very suitable for ultra-low consumption situation, and it can work long time powered by battery. This MSP430F413 has low price, a good many function can achieved via software, use less hardware. So the cost of this system is cheap and it is in favor of extend application.MSP430 can debug online through JTAG., we only need a PC and a simulator during exploitation. We can use IAR Embedded Workbench for MSP430 and C-SPY as exploitation software. This feature can save time and money in exploitation.This system consists of there parts. The first part is temperature measure part. Temperature is simulative quantity, and it needs to converse to digital quantity to deal with by MCU. Ordinarily A/D conversion needsspecial conversion module. MSP430F413 applied by this system has comparator_A and timer_A. Using one resistance and one capacitance and comparator_A,timer_A we can realize slop A/D. We measure discharge time from reference resistance and temperature sensitive resistance can calculate the quantity of temperature sensitive resistance. According to the quantity of temperature sensitive resistance, we can get the temperature.The second part of the system is LCD display. The temperature measured by the system can show on the LCD. MSP430F413 has LCD driver. It can drive 96 segments at most. It can drive LCD without additional LCD driver. This feature can save money and reduce the cubage of the system. MSP430F413 has four LCD model. We can choose any of them according to LCD panel. MSP430F413 has LCD memory, we can control the LCD to show what we want by write 1 or 0 to according LCD memory.The third part of the system is UART. The function of the part is to transmit the temperature to PC. This part use Timer_A to realize soft UART. The communication protocol is 1stop+8data+1start. The Baud-rate is 1200bit/s. This Baud-rate generates by Timer_A interrupt. We work out the time between each bit and make Timer_A to interrupt by the time. Data can be transmited by interrupt program. RS232 protocol which applied by PC serial port is different from TTL which applied by MCU. We use SP3220E to transform TTL to RS232. SP3220E can operate from a 3.0V to 5.5V power supply, and it only needs 5 additional capacitances.UART program on PC is compiled by Visual Basic.By using it ,we can measure different temperature of the two sides of spine .
