The quality of hydraulic structures is important to the property safety of the country and people. In order to effectively control the quality of hydraulic structures , nondestructive tests are conducted. In the paper, applications of Crosswell Computerized Tomography technology in hydraulic structures detection are studied.Based on principles of computerized tomography, Huygens principle of network tracing algorithm is used— the shortest path ray tracing calculation. The damping least squares conjugate gradient method is used to solve large linear equations. The method is fast convergence and high precision. The crosswell tomography integrated software are developed. Compared with other methods, the crosswell tomography technology to the medium velocity distribution has higher resolution and gets more information. Combined with drilling technology, greater scope to evaluate the quality of the projects can be carried out. Finally the technology is used in a reservoir arch dam in Wenzhou, water-tight screen in Lishui City. The results are verified against the data of site drilling, it is showed that the method can quickly and accurately find the defects of the internal structure. This technology can also be applied to other structure engineering detection.
