The Research In Selection Of The Style Of Building Foundation In Shaoxing County

The styling of foundation is central for preliminary design which later dominates technical and economic factors of the whole engineering project. With regard to this, Shaoxing County of Zhejiang Province, characterized by soft and highly featured clay of Ningshao Plain is studied in order to give acceptable recommendations for practicing engineers.All together three districts in Shaoxing County are selected, namely city, littoral and hilly districts. And for each of them, superstructures categorized as high -rise building, Multistory building and Low-rise building are studied respectively. The criteria for comparison of different possibilities involve technical and economic factors as well as environmental impacts and safety considerations.This study is based on information from engineering geological surveys, laboratory tests and real projects. In the end of this paper, a summary on styling of foundation in Shaoxing County is presented.The research is very important to the construction, especially to plan design and the improvement in the quality, which would bring huge economic profit and social benefits.
