Abstract/Summary:
It is necessary to improve the traditional measuring techniques and measuring device used in the Power system as the increased applications of nonlinear loads. The main work of this paper is the research of the influence of harmonic to the metering of electric energy and the research of the power theory and its application under non-sinusoidal situation in power system.By the analysis of theory and the simulation based on PSIM software, find out how the harmonic effect the metering of electric energy. Then, after some comparisons of the presenting power theories, a preferred power theory was chosen for the measurements under non-sinusoidal situation.For making the chosen power theory be applied to practice, a design of DSP based power meter was presented. The detailed design of the hardware and software structure of this meter was discussed. Finally the test result of the meter and some improvement projects was presented.
