Distributed generation (DG) possesses many advantages: saving investment, flexibility and compatibility. The interconnecting of DG with power grid brings tremendous variation in control and operation for modern power system. DG can meet the special need of both power system and consumers, and it possesses incomparable reliability and economy, which the traditional power systems cannot provide. However, the application of DG to the grid also brings problems. This text provides a DG-connect-to-grid system based on SCESS. A method to minimize switching losses of voltage source converter is studied. On two different connect-to-grid cases of the SCESS, theories and control technologies are deeply studied and properly designed. At last, simulations are given out to show the validity of the proposed control system.
