Research On The Entrance Space Design Of Public Buildings In The Center Of City

As the junction between architectural space and city space, the entrance space of public buildings helps should be designed with more attention to the harmonization between the buildings and city avoiding the breaking up and conflict of buildings and environment, in order to preserve the order and unity of city space. Therefore, whether the design is successful or not will have a direct impact on the whole architectural image as well as the quality of the city space environment.This thesis reviews the historical and current state of the entrance space environment of city public buildings in China in retrospect. With analysis and induction on the structure of entrance space from function to aspects of space, explorations and study are made on how to create a fine entrance space environment for public buildings.The first chapter expounds the purpose and significance of the research and defines concerned concepts, and builds up the infrastructure and means to an end of the researching objects.The second chapter reviews the development and presents situation of buildings entrance space, and points the main problems. Based on much material, the third chapter analyzes the structure of space form and the function of entrance space and the attribute of space form.In view of existing problems, the fourth chapter indicates the aim of the design of the public space: characterized with whole, complex, ascription, openness, easy to identify and cultural system. The design method is classified in four aspects.The fifth chapter emphasizes functional contrast, space of public building's entrance have many traits on current. I put my own opinion on how to harmonize with the main body of the building and merge into the city space, how to set up traffic network and strengthen space environment atmosphere in designing entrance space. All these are expected to be of some positive and practical significance in raising the grade of architectural creation and contribute to the construction of cities in our country.At last, a better reference was supplied to analyse the development trend of the entrance space of public buildings.
