Because the soil cement stirring method is more and more widespread in the domestic and foreign applications, the as a kind of soil mechanics modified material has already widely applied in the civil engineering such as water conservation, the transportation and the building and so on. At present there are two kinds of cemented soil materials in the project. One kind cemented soil which adding a few water (approximately is 15%) in the mixture of cement and soil is completed by means of roller compaction. And this kind cemented soil is primarily used in the cemented slope protection, the lining work, the cemented soil road and the cemented soil prefabticated member and so on. Another kind cemented soil is got according to the construction characteristic of the underground stub cutoff wall. And it mixes large quantity water, so the mixture is the flowable slurry (diffusance is 10 30cm, also called it mixed mortar). The confectioning of this kind of cemented soil is completed through the cement hydration. The application of the latter kind of cemented soil material is not too long, at the same time its characteristic also is different from the cemented reinforcement soil, which mechanical characteristics are researched little.This article has analyzed the regularity of the mechanical characteristics index mark of the cemented soil of high moisture content soil mechanics through a large number of indoor tests which directed the typical soft foundation in Tianjin, and associated the engineering practice of the underground stub cutoff wall, such as the regularity between the unconfined compressive strength qu, deformation modulus E50, ultimate strainεu and the cement ratioα, the age t. Especially this kind of cemented soil is mainly applied to the project of the underground stub cutoff wall, so this experiment has studied the regularity of the permeability, and pointed out the interdependence with the cement ratioαand the age t. Moreover this article has also studied how effect water reducing agent had on unconfined compressive strength. Engineering characteristics of the cemented soil have been analyzed through this experimental investigation, which will provide the reasonable suggestion as well as the matters need attention for the application of cemented soil in project in future.
