For reasonable structural system of cable-stayed bridge, the climax for its construction has arrived all around the world in recent years. Especially in China cable-stayed bridges have been developed swiftly. The dynamic characteristics effect on the safety of cable-stayed bridge, so it is important to study the dynamic characteristics of cable-stayed bridge.The analysis of dynamic response on the cable-stayed bridge remains focused all along, which are studies on earthquake response and wind induced vibration. Obviously, it's unreasonable to say the resist-seismic bridge-design, based on the assumption that every part of the whole basement moves uniformly when earthquake is not consistent with the real condition. For the traveling wave effects, the movement at any supporting point of the bridge is not uniform. So, if we do not consider this fact there will be large mistakes. As for bridges featuring, the traveling wave effects can't be neglected. The disaster wind induced has happened frequently, so the study of wind induced vibration has been concerned by scientific researchers more and more. The study in this paper focuses on seismic response and wind-induced vibration response of the new structural system composed of cable-stayed bridge and giant wheel, taking Tianjin Cihai Bridge as project background.The power balance equation of cable-stayed bridge is established under the condition of asynchronous excitations of seismic wave. The Newmark-βnumerical integration method for solving the equation is also introduced. Since the geometric nonlinearity of the structure, the increment equation is under consideration as well. Two different ways for analysis of traveling wave effects are researched, which are relative motion method and large mass method.In order to get the natural vibration characteristics, the modal of whole structure is calculated, which can be taken as the basis of seismic study. One-dimension seismic waves effects and three-dimension normal seismic waves effects are calculated separately. The earthquake responses of internal force and displacements induced by traveling waves effects on Cihai Bridge are analyzed. And the structure responses under the traveling waves effects of the different phase transformation are compared.The core theory of numerical wind tunnel–Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is introduced, and the governing equations of fluid dynamics include mass conservation equation, momentum conservation equation and energy conservation equation.
