At present, long-span space structure is being more and more widely used in public architectures, such as gymnasiums, memorials and culture architectures, and it's earthquake-resistant ability counts for people life and national property. Aseismic design becomes one of the most important problems in studying of space structure. Vibration control technique has being studied and applied broadly in the late years in home and abroad. Practice indicates that this technique is efficient for enhancing earthquake-resistant ability of structures. Recently, rubber bearing was applied to many actual engineering projects, but the energy-dissipated capacity of rubber material is limited. On the other hand, it's found that the viscoelastic material has similar mechanics performance with rubber material, so it's feasible that the viscoelastic bearing, instead of rubber bearing, is utilized to reduce the response of structure due to the earthquake excitation. Thus, main works are as follows:(1) Via complex stiffness model of viscoelastic material, the equivalent stiffness and damping matrix are introduced, so does the dynamics equation solution technique of structure with viscoelastic bearing. Then, by using time-history method, the influence of visocelastic bearing on pace frame structure is analysed, and the analyse mainly contains three parts, that is, the parameter of viscoelastic bearing, the vibration characteristic of structure and frequency spectrum characteristic of earthquake waves. Through analyse on supporting structure of space frame structure, the effects, that viscoelastic bearing influence the response of supporting structure under earthquake excitation, is discussed.(2) The parameter optimization model of viscoelastic bearing is established, and the complex method is used to conduct the parametric optimization of viscoelastic bearing in the vibration control of space frame structures.(3) According to the structure codes and the calculation model of viscoelastic bearing, a computer assistant design system is developed, namely space truss structure computer assistant design system (STSCAD). Some calculation types are included in this system, such as static analyse, mode analyse and optimization calculation. Results contrast has verified calculative accuracy of STSCAD.The results of this thesis show that it's feasible to apply viscoelastic bearing in space frame structures, and this bearing is efficiency to reduce the response of structure and it's supporting structure due to the earthquake excitation. The vibration control ability is affected by many factors, such as the parameter of viscoelastic bearing, the vibration characteristic of structure and frequency spectrum characteristic of earthquake waves, so it's very important to optimize the parameters of viscoelastic bearing.
