Homogeneous Charged Combustion Ignition (HCCI) can significantly reduce the NOx and PM emission, at the same time keep the engine working at a high thermal efficiency, so it was concerned as a potential technology to satisfy the future automotive exhaust law and regulations and makes it the focus of attention. But for diesel fuel, it is difficult to form a premixed homogeneous charge. In this thesis, spray impingement on hot wall method was used to prepare diesel quasi-homogeneous charge, and experiments both on the test bench and engine were executed. As a result, method to optimize diesel quasi-homogeneous charge preparation by spray impingement on hot wall is given, preparing for further engine research on HCCI combustion using diesel fuel.A diesel spray impingement on hot wall experimental system was set up.
