Positioning is the basic content of Land Vehicle Navigation System, and the key technology includes the global positioning system (GPS) and geographic information system (GIS). The Integration of GPS and GIS can realize GPS navigation information on the map visualization, and dynamically track the goal and determine the optimal travel route. This paper focus on the study of vehicular two-satellite navigation system based on Component GIS, and starts from two main parts: the algorithm of two-satellite positioning based on GPS/DR (Dead Reckoning), and the implement of the vehicular navigation system based on SuperMap. The feature of robust has been emphasized, and the theory and realization of the algorithm that makes GPS workable in the condition of two viewable satellites has been proposed. The main work and innovation in this paper can be classed as follows:1) To solve the problem that GPS may become valid when it's signal is sheltered by viaduct or high-rise buildings, this paper presents an integrated navigation system based on the information provided by Digital Map, including two-satellite positioning based on the information provided by the Digital Map and DR system and its filtering algorithm. 2) Based on the two-satellite positioning algorithm, the receiver and solver of two differnet GPS signal is proposed, and the combination of DR system and navigation system are completed.3) Based on one popular Component GIS product- SuperMap, an integrate navigation system is presented, which include basic map operation, map explore, geographic information query. Using projection match method the system solves the position track of vehicle on the road of electronic map. The system produces proper real time guiding orders with the help of map database and GPS location information to guide the driver to take the right route.Compared to the traditional navigation system, the extension ability and stability of the current system is improved because the software is designed according to the principle of module, and the extension ability and stability. Experiments show that the integrated navigation system can provide precise positioning result and enhance the adaptability of vehicles in the complex environment of cities.
