Being the latest power device, the MPM integrate the vacuum electron devices with the solid state devices organically. It is a super component composed of a Vacuum Power Booster (VPB), The the MPM is significantly smaller, lighter more efficient, and has a greater signal-to-noise ratio.For the demand of Electronic Power Conditioner(EPC) in the Microwave Power Module (MPM) a sort of series-parallel resonant dual voltage converter which is a soft-switch converter has been selected to outspread reaearch and design work in this paper. The scheme that have some good characteristics, such as high-efficiency,good controlling-characteristic,can commendably fulfil the remand of high voltage,high density and high efficiency of the mpm power supply.The operating theory of series-parallel resonant dual voltage converter is analysed in detail. It has been discussed the different kinds of modality of the converter with the changing of load and switching frequency and the occasion about three modalities is given, The condition of realizeing soft-switching is given by the operating rule. The relative advantages of the amphi-converter are given from several aspects, like input characteristic, output characteristic and load characteristic. A sort of the parameter design method that makes use of normalization means is given on the basis of the analysis of efficiency. A 5000v/60mA prototype converter is built in the lab to verify the effectiveness of the proposed converter.
