In this thesis, the characteristic of electromagnetic scattering from the plasma-coated target with the plane wave incidence is examined on the basis of the characteristic of plasma. Firstly, the physical characteristic of plasma and expressions for describing the parameters of plasma are present. According to Maxwell's equations, the method of separation of variables in associated with the boundary conditions of plasma-coated target is applied to solve the equations of scattered field exactly in a spheroidal coordinate system with different incident angle. Meanwhile, the reciprocity theorem is used to evaluate the composite scattering from plasma-coated sphere-sphere pair /cylinder-cylinder pair. Finally, the numerical solutions to problems involving scattering of electromagnetic waves by inhomogeneous anisotropic plasma-coated complex objects are achieved by using the finite integration theory.The dependences of the scattering properties on the parameters of incident wave, the characteristic of the target and the parameters of plasma are obtained by the calculation and discussion.
