It is necessary to research on the regulation of waterway on mouth bar in Estuary. The main work of this paper was to study the impact and sensitive analysis of estuary regulation schemes in the estuary of Guan River by a 2D horizontal current and sediment numerical model and empirical formula. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Considering the silting intensity in waterway and the impact to the tidal prism of Guan River, the single guide jetty and double guide jetties with dredging were recommended in the estuary of Guan River. Meanwhile, it was recommended that the eastern jetty was higher than the western one in the double guide jetties.(2) For the measure of single(eastern) guide jetty with dredging, the change of jetty's elevation and length will not affect the tidal prism of Guan River but increase it. The main function of eastern jetty is to prevent the diffuse of sediment. The higher and longer the jetty is, the better effection of preventing the diffuse of sediment will be. Considering the fact of effection and investment, it is suggested that the height of eastern jetty is 4 metres; the length of eastern jetty is between 10 and 12 kelometres.(3) For the measure of double guide jetties with dredging, the main function of western jetty is converging flow into main channel. The higher the western jetty's elevation is, the less the silting intensity in waterway is. For the western jetty, the elevation is sensitive to the tidal prism of Guan River at any elevation. The change of jettys' distance isn't sensitive to the tidal prism of Guan Rive and the silting intensity in waterway. Considering the fact of effect and investment, it is suggested that the elevation of western jetty had better not higher low water level than 20 centimetres; the distance between jetties had better equal to the width of estuary. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Mouth Bar, the regulation of waterway, guiding jetty, silting intensity, tidal prism, sensitivity | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
