With the development of the railway transportation and the rise of people's living standards, metro becomes the main means to reduce the pressure of transportation in the cities. At present, by establishing the universal product platform to modularize the parts of metro bodywork, the technical performance and manufacture technology are realized perfectly and the cost of manufacture and maintenance is reduced for the bodywork of metro. However, the study on the modular technology of metro in China is still in its primary stage, and the research and development (R&D) ability is relatively weak. The analysis of strength, stiffness, fatigue and modal on modular large-scale hollow profile under different loads was seldom reported. In order to reduce the weight of the aluminum alloy bodywork, improve the reliability of the aluminum alloy bodywork, the optimization of the analysis for the structure of aluminum alloy bodywork is needed. In this thesis, the advanced structure of the modular aluminum alloy bodywork of metro was adopted, the stress distribution of bodywork under different loads was analyzed by dynamics modeling, and the fatigue strength of the part was studied by numerical simulation method. The main research contents and conclusions are summarized as follows:(1) The CAD model of aluminum alloy bodywork of metro built in SOLIDWORKS was transferred to the model in ANSYS, and the structure was simplified and rebuilt. The finite element (FE) model of bodywork was established by extracting the middle surface, meshing and treating the contact surface between different parts.(2) The bolted, rivet, and welded connections in the structure of bodywork were researched respectively. Rigid connection was used to simulate the integral welding between different modules of bodywork. Monolayer connection was applied to simulate the welding between the head and the body of metro, the buffer beam and the underframe, the corbel and the underframe. The FE model of aluminum alloy bodywork was established mainly by shell element. It was helpful to simulate the...
