MES(Manufacturing Execution System) is a bridge between top-level management systems and low-level control system of facilities. It is the key technology in the integration of all enterprise information systems. Currently most MES integration schemes are point-to-point ,which cause high cost of development and maintenance. So the utilization of MES in enterprises is very limited. Enterprises are pressing for MES, but the T-MES(Traditional MES) is deficient. As AM(Agile Manufacturing) is the trend of manufacturing, the research on I-MES with an AM orientation has great importance. It can not only improve the level of management of manufacture and automation, but also extend the CIMS application to a new area.On the basis of detailed analysis of MES, a functional model of MES in CIMS was presented in the first place, followed by a summary of the characteristics, key technologies and solutions of MES with an AM orientation . In view of the advanced technology and its practicability and feasibility, the methodology of software reuse was adopted. With the analysis of the key technologies of I-MES based on software framework and software component, the 00 modeling of I-MES was investigated briefly and a scheme called Use Case-Driven Development was proposed. Based on the method, the 00 model for MES was given. In order to achieve better efficiency by reusing software components, the author studied the technologies relevant to the development of a Microsoft.Net based I-MES system. At the end of this thesis, partly implemented I-MES system was presented, which proved that the methods and outcomes of this study are valuable and significant.
