Along with the continuous progress of the rapid urbanization, the trend of Economic Globalization and Regional Integration is very obvious, and the demands of convenient urban transportation is increasingly prominent. In order to alleviate the growing traffic pressure, all the gobernments plan and construct a large number of high-grade highways. However, these high-grade highways can not play their full effectiveness because of the lag of related research, such as how to connect the high-grade highway and the city of different size and different shape or how to connnect the urban passageways in entrance and exit and the urban roads. Therefore, the research on organizations of highway network node(HND) in the urbanization process has extremely important practical significance.The first part analyzes the formation mechanisms and the general law of the development of urbanization and summarizes the development character of HND in the urbanization process, which is based on the formation mechanisms and the definiens and classification lavels. Through studying the development and the expansion of urban spatial form, the urban patterns are recommended in accordance with sustainable development requires. Based on the research of highway and urban development interaction, the current problems of HND are pointed out.In th second part, the core of dissertation is put up. The foundation of research on HND is weakness in our country. Therefore the relevant theories and approaches are disussed comprhhensively. On the base of analyzing the relationship of urban comprehensive transportation planning and highway network planning, HND system planning theorise and planning framework are studied. And the point of the dissertation is bring forward, which is HND transit mode and transit line, the liaison between in and out HND and organizations of the HND regional passageways in entrance and exit.Secondly, the dissertation summarizes and concluds domestic common HND transit patterns, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of roundabout mode and through mode. From the viewpoint of highway and urban development interaction, it gives different transit patterns that are suitable to different size and different shap of the HND. And the dissertation proposes five basic principles of highway line location planning, which are the urban size and location in the area, the urban properties, the areal and urban traffic network and the main direction of transportation, the overall arrangement of the urban function and urban space shape, the area and urban ecology and nature.Thirdly, making using of the node importance method and clustering analytical method, the dissertation applies the rate of increase method and gravitation model method to analyses the external flux. The suitable layout under some certain conditions of highway and city id rcommended in accordance with the high and urban road. Quoteing the theory of spide network construction, the dissertation demonstrated the optimized number of urban entrance and exit fit for the formation and scale of city. Setting forth the relation between highway and urban road, the dissertation researches on the characters of urban passageways in entrance and exit, and lucubrates transect Designing.In the third part, the dissertation applies the above research results into examples of maanshan and haiyan, which analyses transit mode and transit lines and link up of the HND inside and outside of the two cities that have different size and different shap patterns.
