With the dramatic increase of cars, parking has become a severe problem which must be solved in modern cities. In view of the flat plate structure could reduce the height of building and enlarge the useful space, this form of structure shows economic utility when it's applied in parking garages, for the live load of the parking garage is much larger and need huge useful space. And staggered structure can use space effectively. Therefore, we combined"staggered"with"flat plate"and applied them in parking garage system. At present, there are many problems in staggered flat plate structure such as integral analysis method of the staggered flat plate structure, shear resistance performance and punching shear capacity of staggered flat plate corner and edge connections, all these questions haven't been solved completely. Based on theoretical derivation and finite element analysis, this paper presented study on the punching shear capacity and horizontal shear capacity of staggered flat plate corner and edge connections. The main research contents are as follows:First of all, this paper sorted different connections according to different location. Based on the analysis of staggered flat plate structure, the shear stress of connections of inertia column and short column, the moment distribution on short column and slab were obtained. Then the characteristic of stress performance of the structure was specified. With the help of finite-element analysis software, this paper simulation analyzed stress of edge connection of staggered flat plate, theory of passing shear and so on. Based on the theory of baroclinic beam, this paper theoretical deduced the shear capacity of the core concrete of flat plate connections, and established the foundation for calculating the horizontal shear capacity of the core concrete of short column edge connection.With the help of finite-element analysis software, this paper calculated 24 different physical dimension of the horizontal shear capacity of staggered flat plate connections, and fitted the horizontal shear capacity equation of staggered flat plate connections through the analysis of the FEM results. Then the influencing factors of horizontal shear capacity of the staggered flat plate edge connection intensified such as edge beam, staggered height and hoop of column were theoretical analyzed. Above all, this paper rose some design suggestions.
