On the basis of research results inside and outside of china, using structural analysis program ANSYS, adopting spectrum analysis and time-history analysis methods, this thesis made a seismic response analysis of Masangxi Yangtze River Bridge. And then, seismic response law of the bridge was obtained.Masangxi Yangtze River Bridge is a concrete bridge with double tower and double cable plane. The total span is 718m and main span 360m. The bridge whose location is important is situated on the field of 6 degree earthquake intensity.First, the model for calculation was made by using ANSYS program. Then, mode analysis was made to obtain behaviour of the bridge. Second, the standard seismic response spectrum is inputted from longitudinal, transverse and vertical direction respectively. Two kinds of seismic combinational modes, which are longitudinal plus vertical vibration and transverse plus vertical vibration are considered. And then, seismic response of the bridge was obtained.Spectrum analysis is a linear analysis which can not consider nonlinear effect. So, dynamic time-history analysis which can take some nonlinear effects into consideration was made.The numerical simulation for the seismic responses of the bridge is performed under the uniform excitation and the traveling wave excitation of El-Centro wave.Finally, comparison for dynamic behaviour influence of the bridge with different tower shape and cable style was made.
