Because of the unique entironment, mteorologic condition and much permafrost, it has great difficulty in the design and construction of railway engineering in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In this thesis, it is discussed such as the sorts and characteristics of permafrost, primary engineering geology questions, environmental influence, design's principle, section model and foundation style of the roadbed and foundation under bridge and culvert engneering. The practice proves that it is important to choose of working seasons and construction technics in the roadbed engineering. According to the practice, it is made study of rubble embankment, conventional excavation of cutting, hot pin method, cut and cover method of foundation construction and dry-drill method of pile construction. In addition, concrete construction, measures of enviromental protection and improving on work efficiency of mechanical equipment is mentioned.
