Based on abundant in-situ data, erosion and deposition at Qiantang Estuary special at the river reaches from Ganpu to Jinshan, and from Yishan to Dushan, and Quangongting deep channel are compared for two projects by applying the basic principle of fluvial process in this paper.The 2-D tide mathematical model and the movable bed model are respectively used for studying tidal flow and erosion/deposition. The change of flow field is mainly reflected by mathematical simulation, the erosion/deposition is mainly reflected by physical model. The flow regime, erosion & deposition at the foreland of dock and every water intake and outfall special deposition at the first intake after implementation of the two projects are compared comprehensively. Finally, main conclusions have been accepted by design units.The research method may use in applying erosion and deposition of other project.
