| A rotating wheel gasoline engine was designed, calculated, manufactured and tested systematically in this paper.As we know, the reciprocating piston type engines are widely used in industrial and agricultural production and people life. But because its inherent structure, the reciprocating piston type engines' many problems, such as the high inertia and intense vibration generated by high inertia under high rotational speed, could not be solved.. Thus the rotating piston type engines are taken attention by people. Now the Wankel-engine is largely used in some field. A rotating wheel gasoline engine having simple structure and smaller volume was designed based on a national patent. The working theory of the rotating wheel gasoline engine was qualitatively analyzed and studied. The total type and the structure of all parts were designed, and the whole structural figure and all parts figures were drawn. The fixed body, sliding piece and rotating wheel body and so on were designed and calculated based on the working condition and status by using systematical engineering method for designing ICE. Their materials were chosen reasonably. The strength of sliding piece and shaft of rotating wheel body were calculated by finite element method in order to validate the designing veracity. The basic parameters of rotating wheel gasoline engine, such as compression ratio, displacement and the maximum torque and so on, were calculated quantitatively. The formula for the power and economical performance, such as torque, power and fuel consuming ratio were put forward, which provides theoretical proof for designing. The movement trace, velocity and load of the sliding piece were analyzed from dynamics. The structure and basic dimensions of radiator fins were designed on the basis of thermodynamics of the fixed body, sliding piece and rotating wheel body. The gas pressurize system, valve timing and the structure of pressurize parts were studied, and the rotating wheel system, gas pressurize system, lubricating system, cooling system and igniting system were designed systematically. A testing sample of rotating wheel gasoline engine was manufactured and the debugging experiment was carried through. |
