In modern times, electrical energy is a kind of energy source which is the most widely used and the highest important. With the progressing in the society and the development in the economy, there is a grow demand for the electrical energy. In order to meet with the large amount of electrical energy required for our society, government builds nuclear power station with large-scale, more and more large nuclear power generator units are operating in the power system, so they are more and more important in the power system. At presents, most nuclear generator units use brushless excitation system. And in brushless excitation system, the key component is rotating rectifiers which consist of rectifying element (diode or Silicon controlled rectifier).Because exciter circuit is rotating, so the rotating rectifiers are under powerful centrifugal force and electromagnetic action, and the incidence rate of faults is relatively high; slip ring and brush are both canceled, then there is no direct relation between rotating excitation circuit and outside, so it is very difficult to detect the rotor faults directly. But the faults of rotating rectifiers will lead up to the generator set incapable of normal working and even destroy the AC exciter. So in order to increase effectively the operation reliability of the brushless generators, it is very important to diagnosing the faults of rotating rectifiers on-lineWhen any rotating rotor rectifier has faults, the rectifiers are under abnormal operating mode, and the current waveform is changed, so the signal waveform...
