With the rapid development of China's national economy in a sustained and stable speed, the demanding of electricity is increasing. The development of hydropower resources and the construction of hydropower projects to meet the various sectors of economic development is growing in power station choosing and construction, not only the need to choose good sites in the foundation conditions in the building, but sometimes had to adverse geological conditions for the construction of foundations.The reinforcing of abutment and foundation in hydropower project is a technological and economic issues. In pursuit of the economic efficiency, how to choose a project that will not only satisfy the demand, and balance social benefits and savings investment dam foundation works to address the technical, has been pressing in the face of the builders.Soft soil is the weakness of modern sediment layers, often become difficult geological problems, because its characteristics of low-intensity, high compression and weak water permeability as a foundation. Weak foundation features decide construction on such soil, many works has to been done to the foundation.
