Technology of vehicle is challenged by two serious problems, shortage of energy and pollution. So people make great effort to realize the Green Vehicle, which means high efficiency and low emission pollution. Liquid nitrogen car is one of the Green Vehicles. The energy density of liquid nitrogen is higher than other energy storage mediums. Liquid nitrogen engine runs without heavy metal pollution. It is so much clean as an atmosphere cleaner. In some sense, liquid nitrogen is regard as waste byproduct, so it is not expensive.The Power Machinery and Vehicular Engineering Institute of Zhe Jiang University has firstly done some theory and experiment research on liquid nitrogen engine and has made some achievement. However the research on heat exchanger has just started. This paper has made following research based on the Doctor Fund of National Ministry of Education. "The Theoretical and Experimental Studies on Liquid Nitrogen Engine"Firstly, the necessity of new power motor is analyzed based on the relationship of resource , environment and internal combustion engine , and some kinds of new motors are introduced; the possibility of air-powered motors' existence and development is demonstrated on the role of economy ,and its present research state is also introduced.Secondly, based on diesel engine S185 we set up liquid nitrogen engine operating platform, analyze the performance index of the engine through test data. We mainly analyze the influence of liquid nitrogen heat exchanger's entry pressure and temperature on the performance of the engine.Thirdly, the usual heat exchanger modals in and abroad are introduced. The distributed parameter modal is adopt to the heat exchanger. The homogeneous model was applied to the two-phase region.Fourth, from comparison of simulation and experiment result the modal was justified. According to this modal, we research the influence...
