| The palace system of Qing Dynaty is a main style of architecture in Qing Dynaty. The palace is differed from any other structure systems before Ming and Qing Dynasties, because there is no Dougong set on hypostyle columns, but set on eave columns. The palace is much like architecture with Dougong style exteriorly, while it is also like architecture without Dougong interiorly. The palace is one of the culture heritages of ancient China, which exists in lots of provinces of ancient china, but there are no theoretical analysis and evaluation on it. It is necessary to conduct strict analysis and investigation of for wooden frame palace with Dougong so as to protect and maintain these treasurable ancient heritages.The dynamical response of nine-perlin wooden frame palace with Dougong of Qing Dynasty was obtained through elastic-plastic dynamic analysis. The characteristic responses of the socle base, the tenon-mortise joints and Dougong were described. Through the study of wooden frame palace with Dougong of Qing Dynasty, the excessive moment endured by timber column can be avoided by Separating the column footing from their socle base. The moment beared by timber column is restrained by the friction provided by socle base. The axially load bearing capacity of eave column of the wooden frame palace with Dougong of Qing Dynasty had great safety margin. The technology of Cejiao can satisfy the architect function of ancient building and improve the load bearing capacity of whole structure due to the participation of the eave column. The effects of vibration isolation provided by Dougong of the palace are not distinct. The palace meets with the demand of 9-level in accordance with Chinese code of aseismic design, Therefore, the Qing palace is relatively safe during earthquake under 9-level.The results of the aseismatic capacity evaluation and analysis for wooden frame palace with Dougong of Qing Dynasty based on structure performance shows that the performance point is between the operational performance level and immediate occupancy performance level. The aseismic capacity of structure exceeds the demand of Chinese code of aseismic design. The palace is on the immediate occupancy level. These studies will play an important role in structure inspection, seismic appraiser, seismic strengthening of ancient timber structure building, and will provide very valuable suggestions to modem building construction. |
