Wood species identification and study on variation of chemical components along decay and MOR of ancient wood structure in the Imperial Palace were conducted in this paper. The results indicated:(1) Wood species used in the experiment were Larch wood and Soft Pines in the Imperial Palace。(2) The change trend of chemical components along MOR(90Mpa,100Mpa,110Mpa)for Larch wood in the Imperial Palace were not apparent。(3) The change trend of chemical components along MOR(50Mpa,80Mpa,100Mpa)for Soft Pines in the Imperial Palace were apparent。1%NAOH,benzene-alcohol,water extrative along MOR for Soft Pines were inverse ratio . The change trend of cellulose along MOR for Soft Pines were direct ratio。(4) The change trend of 1%NAOH extrative along decay for Larch wood in the Imperial Palace were direct ratio。The change trend of cellulose along decay for Larch wood were inverse ratio。The change trend of benzene-alcohol extrative along decay for Larch wood were apparent。(5) The change trend of 1%NAOH extrative along decay for Soft Pines in the Imperial Palace were direct ratio。The change trend of cellulose along decay for Soft Pines were inverse ratio。The change trend of lignin extrative along decay for Soft Pines were not apparent。(6) The observation of cell for Larch wood and Pine wood not find bacteria, cellular wall were not destroyed。(7) Conclusion: 1%NAOH extrative is standard that can estimate decay and mechanical properties of wood。Provide a new method for estimate decay and mechanical properties in ancient wood...
