Due to the specificity and high cost of product materials and strict request for product security, Non-destructive Testing is adopted in industry manufacture. NDT can detect products quality without demolishing original shape and use performance. Ray testing occupy forty percent in industry manufacture, therefore it share a very important position. But traditional ray testing bases on film imaging and has some disadvantages. For example it can't satisfy the requirements of real time imaging, testing and evaluation. Besides it has an expensive cost and inconvenience in image management. Aiming at this problem, the authors study the image processing technology of digital x-ray testing image thoroughly and tap image processing software. Some concrete researches are shown below:â‘ Firstly this paper investigates some means that improve image resolution. At the same time, a method of dispersion ray control is presented.â‘¡Image smoothness and median filtering is adopted to eliminate image yawp, besides image nonlinear gray-scale transformation and blur enhancement are introduced and make a good effect. With defect segmentation based on edge detection and threshold selection, the defect of x-ray testing image is extracted exactly. It's proved that the former is sensitive to local edge and the whole segmentation effect of the latter is better.â‘¢Some calculating arithmetic are designed, such as multi-defect tracking and filling, defect feature parameters. At the same time, classification device of weld defect is planed and achieve the recognition of weld defect.â‘£This paper has programmed for image enhancement, defect segmentation and defect measurement by VC++,and a software of x-ray inspection image processing is developed.
