Real-time analysis of generator operation state is an important foundation for the generator real-time control in the power plant. At present, generator real-time analysis is still based on the voltage, current, active and reactive power monitoring, always showed in figures and forms. The stabilization of generator operation state is not analyzed; there is no reference for the generator operation state controlling. So, it is necessary to analyze the generator operation state by using real-time sample data and this is also very important to the plant production.The paper concentrates on the generator real-time operation state analysis. According to the generator classical model, the real-time calculation of power-angle is deduced and the result can be got from Newton'method. During the power-angle calculation, there are two variables that can't be measured, those are generator potential with no-load and transient potential; these two variables can be confirmed. But this problem is solved in the paper, the relationship among these two variables and the power-angle is deduced by rotor motion equations. The calculation result of power-angle satisfies the engineering application needs, and also meets the requirement of the stabilization judgment.The operation state of the generator under the great disturbance is analyzed in detail. During the transient process, because the transient potential, outlet voltage and the output of the prime motor are variables, generator operation point in the power-angle plane do not move according to a fixed curve anymore but goes according to the power-angle cluster. So, it is difficult to the D-value calculation between the accelerating area and the decelerating one. The real-time calculation method of the accelerating and decelerating area is deduced here, and by using equal-area criterion, the equation for the generator transient state discrimination is also derived. Because the voltage used in the electromagnetic equation is the outlet voltage from generator, for the transient stabilization judgment, the variety principle between the generator power-angle and system power-angle is analyzed in detail, and the increment distinguishing method of generator power-angle is advanced too. This method estimates the transient stabilization through the power-angle amplitude of oscillation.
