| Matrix converter is considered as "all silicon" power converter with an advanced circuit topology. The advantages of Matrix converter include variable power factor, the omission of DC segment, variable output frequencies and phase and so on, which make it become the hot point of power converter research.Matrix converter has flexible topology. It could be 3 X 3(AC-AC), 3 X 1(AC-AC), 3 X 3(DC-AC), 1×1(AC-AC),etc. So it could be used in many power conversion situations. In this dissertation, three phases in three phases out matrix converter that is deeply researched and will be widely applied in the future is mainly discussed.In the paper, the background, the purpose and the meaning of the research work are presented firstly. After the summarization of the topology of Matrix converter and the detailed illustration of the work theory of matrix converter, the control strategy of matrix converter is mainly introduced; including the fulfilling of Indirect space vector modulation strategy, direct space vector modulation strategy and hysteretic current modulation strategy. Considering the scarce research in the application of matrix converter, the author designed a simulation model of matrix converter fed motor drive system by means of Matlab software. Simulation results show that this system not only realized the performance of drive system but also satisfied the requirement of power system quality which has become more and more strict. Finally, the author uses TMS320LF2407 DSP as controller, realizing the double space vector modulation strategy.Through theoretical analysis, computer simulation and experimental testing, the principal issues of matrix converter are discussed in the paper. Some valuable experience and significant conclusion are given, which found the basis of the project for the further studies. |
