Compared with traditional mechanical gyroscopes, fibre optic gyroscopes (FOG) are small in volume, light in weight,shock-resistant and are all solid state structure with no rotary devices. They attract public attention widely since its appearance. The study on FOG develops rapidly in unversities, national laboratories and companies. With the deepening of the study, the moderate highly-accurated FOG have already been developed successfully, but the problem of its stability has always been an important factor which influences the accuracy of the FOG, especially the long-term stability problem that the FOG do not vary with the environment temperature , has affected its application in the navigation system deeply and seriously. In this paper firstly gives a view of the FOG's future, and analyzes the principle of the FOG and the principle of ladder wave modulation.Secondly the optical components is important for the FOG ,in the research about the noise of optical components , we find some methods to filtrate the components.Thirdly Integrated optical device which incorporates the Y-splitter , polarizer, and optical modulator as a whole, is a key device of the FOG . And its performances impact the precision and stability of the FOG greatly , To improve the stability of the FOG we have to track and compensate it in real time. Finally a circuit is designed to collect temperature of the FOG , the stability of light-wave's power and average wavelength has direct effect on FOG's whole performance, some experimentation are done about the light source and Integrated optical device with the temperature changing . the conclusion of this paper can be used for reference for the continued research .
