Ship Body Meterage Based On NURBS

This research is based on the cooperation of Harbin Engineering University and Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co. Ltd, which is called "Three-dimensional Digital Method for Large-scale Measurement of Modern Shipbuilding". The research aims at a data of the ship body that acquired according to the triangle diagraph method of laser. We reconstruct ship-body curved surface by the method of NURBS, and manifest 3D ship-body curved surface with OpenGL. Then we get the ideal model of ship-body curved surface from the CAD software and make an error margin of outline evaluation. This paper investigates some basic issues, which can be summarized as following:1 Program a software about the reconstruction of ship body. It adapts Object Based Programming conception, and realizes some function in many ways. The user can carry on making a second-time development on this function.2 Carry on a development of 3D display system, which the user can use to draw the 3D pictures without consideration of detail problems.3 Program a software to make an error margin of outline evaluation between the reconstruction of ship body and ideal model.
