With the quick development of modern sonar technology, and to achieve long distance explore for active sonar, and detect object difficulty for its quieting technology, as the same time, arrays are in need of working in deepwater for prospecting and collecting of submarine oil and mine. Ordinary arrays' acoustic performances are affected seriously, even failure or destroy. It's key to realize broad-band with many modes, and effective to acquire low-frequency and compact-size for transducer, just have vertical direction and its acoustic performances in deepwater don't change.This paper introduces types and methods of bringing about broadband transducers, and point out significance of researching broadband transducer and array. Two type of flooded transducer are researched mainly: pipe transducer and flextensional transducer. Flooded pipe transducer forms broadband transducer with flood mode and dim mode. Flooded arrays are made of flooded transducers, and improve its flat on the bandwidth by studying the composition of array's method to form spatial direction, thus increasing TVR's level. This paper points out main target of flooded-pipe array by simulating and analyzing.This paper introduces basic FEM's theory briefly, and summarizes all sorts of piezoelectric transducer's matrix with different polar, and epitomizes every parameter's principle and formula of ANSYS, at last, presents its optimization to make further design of transducer.Liquid cavity of free-flooded piezoelectric transducer usually is not regular, so FEM is the most efficient for analyzing transducer's acoustic characteristic stems. Two types of transducer are modeled with large commerce software of ANSYS. By optimization and analogy, variation parameters of transducer are numerically forecasted, such as vibration mode,conductance-susceptance characteristic, radiation performance, etc. At the same time, resonance of the water within the cylinder transducer is developed with diameter of open-pipe hatch, and prestress is carefully calculated for IV flextensional transducer. According to the design performance, we fabricate two types of transducer, and measure the cylinder transducer and duality array which made up of two cylinder transducers.
