Research On MDA-Based Modeling And Simulation Method

In the military simulation domain, concept model acts as the bridge between the two domains of reality and simulation. But now the research of concept model and simulation development method was independent, concept model didn't guide the simulation development actually. Model Driven Architecture(MDA) can use concept model to drive simulation development, so can solve the inconsistency of concept model and simulation.In M&S, High Lever Architecture(HLA) has become the technology standard of the distributed simulation. HLA provides a reuse and interoperation mechanics of integration in the federate lever and a platform of simulation. Using MDA in the military simulation system development can promote the development, especially the federate development. So it can improve the reuse and interoperation.When using MDA to develop simulation system, the domain concept model and computable concept model which are platform-independent must be described first, then mapping to the specific simulation platform. The paper analyses the simulation platform, divides the platform specific model(PSM) into two levers-PSM in federation lever and PSM in federate lever. In the federate lever, the federate is composed from two parts. One reflects the objects and their relationship in the same federate, it can be named federate logic model and can be mapped by UML Profile; The other reflects the objects and their relationship in the different federates, it can be called the interaction modeland can be mapped to simulation object model(SOM).The two parts and their interface compose the PSM in federate lever. All the federate PSM and the HLA FOM compose the PSM in the federation lever.Then the PSM can be mapped to the logic code and interaction code, and can be integrated in the specific RTI.At last, according to a simple case of missile defence, validate and research the MDA-Based conceptual modeling and simulation method.
