In this paper, the membrane and protector stresses of the laminated membrane coupling,the modal of the laminated membrane coupling,the stress character of the rabbet have been studied by ANSYS based on the nonlinear finite element method. The work of this paper makes a theoretical basis for the using of the coupling. It has several parts to follow.The FEM model of the membrane is built. Its stress is studied when the laminated membrane coupling is loaded by centrifugal force, torque, axial force and angular force respectively and synthetically. The FEM model of the combination of the membrane and protector is built. Its stress is studied when the laminated membrane coupling and protector are loaded by centrifugal force, torque, axial force and angular force synthetically. The results showed that the protector significantly reduces stress concentration of the laminated membrane.The vibration frequency and mode of laminated membrane coupling are analyzed. A conclusion is reached that the laminated membrane coupling has not torsion vibration while rotating at the operating speed.The model of interference fitting of a conic surface with a key is built based on the coupling of node displacements on contacting surfaces. The stresses of hub, axes and key are analyzed. This article gives a feasible analysis method for the interference fitting of a conic surface with a key.
