Study On Nonlinear Analysis And Design Software Of Seismic Isolation With Rubber Bearing

Base-isolation structure with rubber bearings was considered the best form of isolation because of its low cost and excellent isolation ability. But at present nearly no special design software is used in our country, some software in used is only designed for research and can only do some checking works of isolated structure design, such software can't be used to provide help for the design process.In this paper, primarily design software for base isolation structure was been compiled, it can provide bases for a mature design software which would be popularized by commercial means. The difficulty of base-isolation structure design would be played down by this software. Base-isolation structure would be designed by engineers who have only a little knowledge of isolation. Therefore base isolation structure would be popularized.The software BISODE which was complied by VB has mature pre-processing, post-processing and design & analysis function. Not only design process was simplified by BISODE, but also "Code for seismic design of buildings" GB50011-2001 and "Technical specification for seismic-isolation with laminated rubber bearing isolators" CECS126-2001 were added into BISODE. This makes BISODE easy to learn.BISODE calculation function has been testified by a project, and design of base-isolation structure process was also be illuminated by the project. It was proved that design efficiency has been improved by BISODE. Following works have been down in this article:1. Based on abundant reference and design flow, a new design flow that can make use of software goodness has been designed.2.
