Of all the methods, the method on the base of frequency vibration is the pioneer vibration-based methods to detect structural damage, also emerge it test simple and accurate, applied convenience etc. advantage in continuous developments.This paper by borrowing ideas from the research findings on crack identification in frame structures of domestic,combine the nerve network,Genetic Algorithm and the Genetic BP Algorithm ,uses MATLAB procedure toolbox to research.The main contents of this paper is according to the structural characteristic of forced vibration , making use of the varying quantity data of free frequency of two different physical cantilever beam on the structural damage experiment basis, then using the BP network, Genetic Algorithm and the Genetic BP Algorithm to build up relation model between position,extent of structural damnification, and the varying quantity of free frequency. By comparison, get the conclusion that Genetic BP Algorithm has big superiority ,such as quicker convergence and higher accuracy. The Genetic BP Algorithm also can be applied to the analysis of structure crack identify. And the result of identify has no direct relation with the behavior of Material used, so the method can be applied to all kinds of structural unit.
