Plant Choice And Arrangement In Green Space Of Residential Cluster

In the plan of modern residential areas, the traditional layout is so difficult to form the originality of landscape space. In order to form the genuine green space, man and the landscape architecture should be well syncretized. It is also essential to enhance the opportunities for residents to contact the nature and create the outdoor space which suits all kinds of groups of people. The green open space of residential cluster , which is used as the green open space, is the most ideal and convenient communicative space for residents. Therefore, green open space of residential cluster should be emphatically constructed in the landscape of residential areas. Plants are the basic design element in constructing green open space of residential cluster, and the choice and arrangement of the category of plants will directly influence the landscape effect and utility function of green open space of residential cluster.This paper takes Wu Han city as the example. In accordance with the relevant data from the field investigation and through the case analysis, the choice and arrangement of plants in the functional area of the green open space of residential cluster was summed up so as to put forward relevant countermeasures and new design philosophy, which is helpful for the choice and arrangement of plants of green open space of residential cluster in the residential areas in the future. The purpose is to optimize landscape architecture of the residential areas to provide the ideal outdoor resting space for the residents in the residential cluster.Chapter one mainly summarizes references and guidances from the overseas relevant plant arrangement and new design philosophy on the design of green open space of residential cluster in China. This chapter also briefly illustrates the development and current conditions of plant arrangement in China's residential areas.Chapter two makes a tentative analysis on the choice and arrangement of plants in the green open space of residential cluster of residential areas in Wu Han. Such green shrubs as Loropetalum chinensis vai.rubrum, Ligustrum quihoui var. aureaphylla, Buxus sempervirens, Rhododendron simsii, Gardenia jasminoides are planted in the green open space of residential cluster, which accounts for 30 percent in the total plants as the main arranged forms of green fence and groundcover. And the proportion in the whole greenery area was more than 40 percent in the green open space of cluster.Chapter three mainly researches the two functional areas in the green open space ofresidential cluster-------kids' playground and the resting areas for the elderly.
