| In the dynamical analysis of structure , mass and stiffness have an important impact on the results . As non-structure members are not generally considered (mainly are partitions) in the process of modeling , the effect of their mass and stiffness can not be reckoned in. In fact, for the existence of non-structure members such as partitions , the increase of mass and stiffness , can both cause more intensive earthquake response . If they are not taken into account , unsafe results can be received . However , method of effective partition processing is still under discussion. If partition problem is needed accurately considered, the better way is to make a model of the partition , the mass and stiffness are then included automatically . Whereas , the model of partition will largely increase elements and nodes , and then it will take more time and labor , and at the same time , the problems such as the connection of partition and primary structure , and the model of partition's materials , can still not be solved presently .
