Hybrid Electric Vehicles(HEV), employing different energy converting devices, has unparallel advantages compared to the traditional vehicle. In order to resolve the worldwide problems of environment pollution and the energy crisis, it has a great significance to conduct HEV research. But at the current time, the HEV's study in our country is still in its incipient stage. The Ministry of Science and Technology has planed HEV's research as a key project of Natinal High-Tech R&D program. At the same time. Meanwhile, most domestic well-known automobile corporations also have successively entered this research area. This work is from the project of"research on scheme of powertrain structure and control system of YEMA HEV", which is supported by Sichuan Automobile Industry Group. This work mainly explores the scheme design of YEMA HEV, which is based on chassis structure of previous YEMA cross-country vehicle. According to the vehilce's requirement analysis, the paper puts forward four kinds of structure scheme of YEMA Hybrid System, and choose two from them as this project's short-term and long-term scheme. The two schemes are Parallel Hybrid System(YEMA IMA) that is similar to Insight IMA and Parallel-Series Hybrid System that is similar to Toyota Hybrid System(THS) .The scheme design study for the parallel YEMA Hybrid System is the major task of this work. The scheme uses the Parallel Hybrid System which is similar to Insight IMA to modify the powertrain system of YEMA cross-country vehicle. The Circular Integrated Stator/Generator(CISG) technology of LanZhou HuanDian Technologies Ltd Co(LZHD) has been introduced into this scheme to reconstruct the JM491 engine of the baseline YEMA cross-country vehicle.
