Study On Reservoir Leakage And Antiseepage Measurement Of Dam Foundation In Karst Region

With the rapid development of hydroelectric project construction, exisiting dams are more and more but dam sites with well geologic conditions are less and less. At present, many dams are constructed in such regions with developed karst and it is important to carry out foundation treatment and antiseepage of leakage path in or around reservoir for constructing dams on rock foundation with developed karst, accompanied with complex construction technology of treatment. Based on Aikou Reservoir Engineering, overview analysis is carried out for Reservoir Leakage in karst region and such findings are achieved as follows:1. Leakage of water in reservoir is generally through two paths, namely reservoir region leakage and dam region leakage, both of which have their special geological conditions. In the regions with developed karst, reservoir leakage is mainly related to development conditions of karst.2. Treatments of reservoir leakage mainly include such six methods as flexible felt blanket antiseepage, concrete blanket antiseepage, cement mortar masonry rejoining antiseepage, cement grouting and cement clampoff grouting for solution hole, concrete water stop, and impervious curtain grouting, etc. For Aikou Reservoir Engineering, impervious curtain grouting is a relatively suitable method.3. It can be seen for in-situ grouting test of Aikou Reservoir Engineering, that antiseepage performance of dam foundation is effectively improved, and important parameters are provided for implement of antiseepage works. Such parameters include unit cement consumption, thickness of curtain, row number of grout hole; layout and construction step of of grout hole, hole distance, row distance, hole direction and hole depth; grouting material and grout concentration; grouting pressure, etc.Reservoir leakage in karst region is a hot problem at all times in water...
