In this thesis, taking a certain single-arm pantograph mechanism as the research object, optimization design and simulation analysis are carried out, using the method of combing the theory of optimization design and virtual prototype technology. The optimized gcometric parameters of the pantograph and analysis Results for collector head spring system design are obtained.Optimization design and virtual prototype technology is introduced in this thesis , and analysis multi-objective optimization design method. And then the geometric parameters of the pantograph are optimized using optimization of MATLAB and the raising torque, etc. is guaranteed. The 3model of the pantograph is built in UG which is imported in ADAMS and then virtual prototype model of the pantograph is built by defining its mass, constraint motion relations and etc. on basis of which the performance of the optimization results are validated. The scheme-solving of designing pantograph by means of combining optimization techniques and virtual prototype technology is accomplished. Further , dynamical analysis and simulation are carried out in ADAMS using the virtual prototype technology on the driving mechanism of the optimized pantograph. The virtual prototype model of catenary-pantograph is further built in ADAMS. Then the influence of the stiffness of the collector head spring system on the contact situation between catenary and the pantograph. By which The relation between the stiffness of the collector head spring system and running speed of the pantograph is obtained as well as correlative conclusions which instruct on design of the collector head sping system of pantograph.
