| The electrical power system is a complex system which distributes the region to be extremely broad, dispersives big. The electrical power system besides displays high dimension, strong non-linearity and the multi- speeds characteristics, the most prominent nature is the dynamic continuity of the generating electricity process, the algebra logic restraint of the losing electrical power distribution system, as well as the multi-objectives optimization demand of the dispatch controlled process which contains or drived by separated event. This article has analyzed the electrical power system promiscuous characteristic, combining hybrid system theory knowledge, established hybrid Petri net model based on hybrid nature of electrical power system dynamic successional variation process, and using Matlab/The Simulink simulation technology to carry on the simulation. Through the electrical power system microcomputer protective device model example, proposed the inference hybrid petri net modelling theory.This arrticle first introduced the hybrid system theory domestic and foreign research results, discussed the special superiority of the hybrid theory in the electrical power system modelling research area, pointed out that the electrical power system regardless of is in the stable running status, in the urgent running status as well as the collapse condition, its dynamic behavior all presents both the continual tendency and noncontinuous dynamic.
