Noise is the third resource of pollution which do harm to the industry civilization besides the pollution of air and water. With the development of scientific technology and the advancement of the fastened society step, the radiated friction-induced noise brings about harm and loss while mechanical process, fast development of transportation brings convenience to the society. Therefore the noise control and study is not only for the environment protection requirement but also the problem to be solved for industry products quality improvement and loss reduction.In the study, the variety rule of the friction-induced noise was studied by means of the friction-induced noise testing. For the convenience of material selection in the laboratory, the material noise-reducing property testing equipment was designed. The sound insulation characteristics of polyurethane rigid foams on the basis of different kinds of polyether were tested. And the approach to improve the sound insulation property of the polyurethane rigid foams was discussed.Main innovation and study achievements are described as follows:(1) A set of friction noise testing system was set up on the pin-on tester. In the process of friction testing in which the TRIP steel with transformation characteristics is continuously sliding in unilateralism, variety rule of the friction noise intensity was studied. The relationship between friction noise variety and testing parameter was analyzed by means of altering the influence factors such as the relative sliding rate, load and lubricant conditions in the process of testing. With the friction noise frequency characteristics combined, the friction noise mechanics was studied from the view of tribology.(2) A noise-reducing property of material testing equipment which small, convenient, proper framed with data collection automation was designed, facilitating material selection and testing in the laboratory.(3) Adopting the self-designed equipment, the sound proof noise-reducing property of polyurethane rigid foams on the basis of different kinds of polyether and thickness was tested. From the testing result, a set of direction for the best noise reduction effect and the best thickness in the direction was found.(4) According to the material noise-reducing testing result, the material property and structure of polyurethane rigid foams which affect the noise reduction property was analyzed. The primary factors which affect noise-reducing property of the polyurethane rigid foams were discussed. The sound insulation and noise reducing mechanism of the polyurethane rigid foams primarily on the basis of material surface reflection and vacuole damp noise-reducing was proposed.
