As the enactment of more and more stringent exhaust legislation, it is urgent to reduce the emission of poisonous gas produced by diesel engine. Due to the combustion character of diesel engine whose main process is diffusion combustion, there exist two contradictions: one is between NOx and soot; and the other is between NOx and fuel consumption. Therefore, emission control becomes difficult. In order to achieve EuroIII standard for YC4G diesel engine, electronic unit pump system is chosen and used, the main parameters of combustion system are optimized and matching test investigation is done in this paper. The study combines simulation with experiment. At first, a model based on AVL boost is created to simulate engine performance. Uniform Design Experimentation is introduced here so that calculation times of four factors and multi-levels can be reduced to twelve. Through regression analysis and multi-aim optimizing analysis, two best combinations of the four factors under 2200rpm and 1500rpm conditions are obtained separately. By the comparison of final test results and optimization, it can be proved that the application of Uniform Design Experimentation can not only reduce the calculation times but also achieve the rule of target influenced by factors and an accurate prediction of target. The matching experiments mainly focus on the comparison of different turbocharger system, swirl rate, combustion chamber, injector, EUP cam-lobe lift and injection timing. The rule which is the influence of parameters change on emissions and fuel consumption are found by test comparison and it is...
