It is reported on reliable authority that there are over 500,000,000 handicapped people in the world, which is about 10% of the whole population. And 15,000,000 will join them every year. There is one handicapped in every five family. There are so many handicapped people and they are affected by both their deformity and their surroundings. A special group which is in a disadvantagous position in society was formed. About two tenth of them need wheelchair. Many people among them need wheelchair.Wheelchairs being in use is inevitably with the development of society and civilization. Wheelchair gradually become an important tool in many people's lifeand during their rehabilitation. When the designer and worker are designing or making wheelchair, they will take the wheelchair's comfortability, convenience and low cost in account. They will amend the wheelchair's frame or choose better material to meet the request of different occasions and different users. In this paper, why people will fatigue are analysed from the point of physiology and anatomy. Several important principles which make the wheelchair user feel comfortable are summerised. Knowledge of Ergonomics, Physiology, Anthropomethy, Modern mechanism design, Aesthetics etc. is used to discuss the principles of wheelchair static comfortability.A new type of wheelchair for cerebral palsy patients was designed according to the symptom of cerebral palsy patients, and some...
